Handle Bars

Carol and her new space bar designed to allow for more gadgetry, bells and whistles for the long distance cycle touer.

I have a beautiful set of butterfly bars that are designed to allow for multiple hand positions while in the saddle for long days.

If you can see the Etrex screen it has Lawrence and Carol and the bicycle icon at our location in Miles. The bars need tape and I am thinking about cutting down some handgrips to fit.

ebay bargins ???

Well I have gone looking for some new tyres as my tried and tested ones are a couple of years old and will be alright to build fitness on but I won't be taking them to VN. So I found two on ebay and lost the auction ,,,I got sniped with 3 seconds to go.

First Training run

Sunday 10:30. Well I finally got my gear selectors fitted and changed to my touring tyres. So off I went for a 7 km trial, not really very much but it is a start. I have now tried out the my GPS which fits nicely on my handle bars. I just have to decide if it is better on the right or left. They are designed to be held in the palm of your hand rather then being mounting . I am keen to find out if I can upload my routes while on tour so might have to seek some help. The Etrex 30 is great as it does turn by turn direction on the screen. So I have hoping that it will be just  as easy in Vietnam to get around.
